The Nipper Sub Committee is pleased to announce the return to training for our Torquay Nippers! As expected, activities will be restricted and subject to compliance with the TSLSC & LSV COVID Safe Plans. However, as restrictions ease it is important we take the opportunity to get our nippers back in the water honing their skills and building their fitness, and bringing the beach back to life!
Currently, the maximum group size for training is 10 nippers (excluding Age Managers and Water Safety). We are hopeful and confident of an increase to this number in the coming weeks.
There are three non-negotiable prerequisites to participation:
- Participants must be current year financial members
- Participants must register in advance for each session (this will be done via Team App – ensure you are connected)
- Nippers and Parents must comply with the TSLSC COVID Safe Plan protocols.
Training will commence Wednesday 18 November.
Training schedule is as follows:
Wednesday all Age Groups @ TSLSC : Split Schedule
- U8, U9, U10 : 5.15pm – 6.00pm
- U11, U12, U13 : 6.15pm – 7.00pm
Sunday all Age Groups @ TSLSC : Split Schedule
- U11, U12, U13 : 8.30am – 9.15am
- U8, U9, U10 : 9.30am – 10.15am
There’s lots more information to be shared, and this will be done in the coming weeks via email to financial members who have registered for Nippers.
The Nipper Summer Holiday Program remains under review and design, and is expected to proceed, but we expect limitations on group sizes to remain. Further details will be provided in due course.
