TORQUAY YOUTH BRONZE CAMP
Each year Torquay Surf Life Saving Club runs a Bronze Camp for youth (under 18 years of age). This year, 2024/25, we are excited to offer this as a residential program, with participants staying at the club for the course duration.
Anyone can undertake the bronze course, lifesaving experience is not a pre-requisite. However, participants must have an above average swimming proficiency which may be required to be pre-tested by a certified instructor.
In addition this year the Youth Bronze Course will also include two additional qualifications to better equip our members. These courses will be:
- Inflatable Rescue Boat Crew
- Resuscitation
- (HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
Training dates will be held in December prior to Christmas. Location will be at the club house held between the 15th through to the 22nd of December.
