The Torquay SLSC has a proud history in surfboat competition, with success at local, State and National levels. Since the purchase of Victoria’s first surfboat, the “white boat”, in 1947, the boat section has been an integral part of Torquay’s lifesaving and competition teams.

The boat section is always looking for new members. If you want to be part of the surfboat competition team and the lifesaving community please contact Jackson McCaffrey (Boat Captain) for more information at
Without the generous support of our sponsors the boat section would not have the calibre of equipment it has to compete at the highest level.

The boat section would like to thank the following sponsors for assistance throughout the 2013/14 season: Frenchy’s on the Esplanade Torquay, RXP Services, Armstrong Creek, Hayden Real Estate, PFD Food Services.
